When we opened the doors of Le Raj 30 years ago I had a vision. This was to not only to be the best but also to show the world the true heights that spice cuisine can reach. Since then the humble curry has been transformed and is now treated as an equal by all other cuisines. I would like to believe that Le Raj has played a role in achieving that change in the curry industry as a whole. At Le Raj we pioneered the use of natural instead of artificial colours. Each of our chefs is specialized in making only fresh and organic produce, as a result of which every dish is a signature dish. Now I have designed and renovated my restaurant with you all in mind and given it a grand drawing room look, which I have the wholehearted belief will help you enjoy the total sensational dining experience.
All our dishes follow a philosophy of healthy cooking based on traditional methods and a chronological order using the right measure of farm fresh ingredients to create Le Raj signature dishes. It was a real honour and a privilege for Le Raj to be able to serve all the VIPs and sponsor’s guests with Le Raj curry at the Olympic Hospitality Centre. I have always said that I will take curry where it has never been before and going to the Olympics certainly was a step further that I have ever gone. Le Raj is proud to have been the only Indian restaurant in the UK to serve the Olympics.

Britain’s most awarded restaurant the one and only Le Raj opened its door to connoisseurs of Indian cuisine twenty six years ago. Our philosophy of healthy cooking is based on using the traditional methods of cooking with the right measure of farm fresh ingredients to create Le Raj signature dishes. The mystery of Mughal cooking lies in the subtle blending of spices to produce the right balance of flavour and taste. Our highly skilled team of chefs, through years of experience, has mastered the art of cooking.
They use the indigenous process of grinding whole spices with mortar and pestle to their appropriate levels of fineness. The kitchen brigade also believe in crafting dishes from the roots such as making their own cheese and yogurt; debone meat, fish and poultry in appropriate sizes for their marriage with the dishes. The menu continually evolves with changing seasons.
